All of the information in your DNA remains the same. However, the tips of the chromosomes &#8211; your telomeres &#8211; shorten after each division.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These telomeres, as well as the enzyme telomerase that rebuilds them, are linked to the process of aging, and the rate at which they are shrinking can lead to a shorter life expectancy. But how do you know when telomeres get too short?<\/span><\/p><h3><b>What is the Hayflick Limit?<\/b><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In your lifetime, the chromosomes in your cells will divide until they reach what is called Hayflick Limit.
